Take the advice of the guide book and save this for the summer, unless you want a snowy adventure. Lots of snow even down below tree line, then snow fields getting up to the divide trail above tree line. Beautiful and dry once you get up there though. Just take snowshoes / traction device anytime before second week of June I’m guessing.
