March 10, 2020 trail conditions

I found the trail clear in stretches and snow covered in stretches. Snow was up to 2 ft. deep along the highest elevations. Not enough snow for snowshoes, but expect some post-holing.

Re: March 10, 2020 trail conditions

Conditions are Icy and covering about 70 of the trail.  I would wait for a good layer of snow before trying them out.  Running 27.5x4.0 studded and was having issues.

Re: March 10, 2020 trail conditions

West Lake Marion Trail is open for winter riding and snow shoeing.

There will be Winter Trail placards placed to guide groomers in which trails to pack first once the conditions turn to an abyss...

Trail updates can be found on the West Lake Marion Trail Facebook page.

FYI- trail is open 6AM-10PM.

No dogs, walkers are optional. I dont mind boot/ posthole tracks on the trails... allgood.
